These are pictures of and information tidbits about my adorable, amazing, and altogether perfect felines. Bow down the their greatness!
Clementine Comments -- Clementine is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Check out the big round eyes and the kitten-like size! She is extra-small, only six pounds. She has very sharp claws though, and while she rarely tries to hurt anything she destroys our rug and is very painful when she sits on your lap. She loves being petted, but if you touch her on her sore hind leg she'll try to get you with her claws - and then completely forget about it, wondering why you're not petting her. Nickname(s) -- Clemmie, Clemmela, Tiny, Kit-kat History -- She was dumped out on the street when she was six months old in front of a cat shelter. She was a young mother, with kittens at only half a year old. They took her and her litter in, and all the little ones got adopted - except Clemmie. She was going to go to the SPCA, where she probably would never have found a home, living a short life and dying by being put to sleep. She came into our house and immediately hid - a very clever spot in the basement ceiling - but came out only a few minutes afterwards with minimal coaxing and let us pet her. Pictures -- click, click
Kodora Comments -- Kodora is a beautifully handsome young tom. He is more than a bit on the plump side, but his face is very good looking. He's not very shy but isn't big on the petting or lap-cat thing. He only lets my step-mom and my dad pet him, and occasionally me. He's very sweet though! His name means "small tiger" in Japanese. He is fourteen pounds and likes to.. erm.. chase Clemmie, with whom he is madly in love. Nickname(s) -- Kodo, Dumb-dumb, Kodo Bear History -- Kodo was given to our neighbors by their friend who said he was a kitten. He was about a year old, and they didn't want a cat. They wanted a kitten. So the story they tell us is that he disappeared for a week and they got new cats, so they can't let him in. But they probably just abandoned the poor little kitty. He was left to scavenge for food on the street, and we started feeding him. Eventually he became our porch cat, and then we got him fixed and gave him shots and he became our indoor cat. Beatrice Comments -- She was my first cat, and absolutely beautiful. She died at age 16, because of feline leukemia, before Clemmie and Kodo were adopted. Nickname(s) -- Bea, and I know there were others but I forget them. History -- Beatrice was my step-mom's long before my dad married her. She was the daughter of a stray, and was taken in by my step-mom's friend who thought "what a cute little gray kitten!" This friend couldn't take in Beatrice, but my step-mom did. She cleaned the gray kitten up, finding that it wasn't gray at all, and got all the ticks off of it. Beatrice led a wonderfully happy life from then on, and lived to a ripe old age.
