The river banks, slippery and wet from the rain, curved gently to dip into the brook. Unlike its graceful bed, the water raced in torrents through the pastures. It had been pouring since the sun set in the west, but the storm had now reduced to a sad kind of drizzle. The occasional tree dotted the dark landscape, but none of them where very tall. When the wind shook their branches, they let out giant amounts of rainwater that their leaves had caught. The breeze, paying no mind to this, continued to wail through the meadow, chilly but not quite cold. It was a terrible night, but beautiful as well. The moon, a sharply curved crescent, glowed brightly through a gap in the dark gray clouds and illuminated the water and damp grass. The night was a lit-up world of shadows, magnificent but very, very dark.
Through this gloom a black shape moved. It carried itself down the river side on paws built for silence, watching through soulless eyes of pure ebony. There was only one color on the tom: the darkest of all dark shades covered every inch of his pelt and features. He made no particular effort to hide his presence for he did not care whether he was found or not. One of the strangest things about Shadow was his deep lack of interest. It wasn't that he was depressed or hopeless, he just didn't care. If a Clanner found him, there would be a fight. If he won, he would leave the other cat unconscious. If he lost, he would run away before any perminant damage could be done. Shadow was not the kind of cat who would give up his life to fulfill the wishes of his pride.

She shivered, silvery pelt hard to see through the rain. I'm such a mousebrain. Why am I out in the rain? She'd felt confined in the camp, and so had decided to leave the warriors' den, only to find it soaking wet and raining hard outside. Still she'd left, dipping her head to the guard on duty as she did. She'd padded through the different territories of her Clan--through the darkened forests, through soaked-through meadows, and now along the bank that overflowed with the water that came from her beautiful namesake. The Flowing Brook. Flowingbrook was a pretty name, and it matched her well. She was, like the water that was usually calm but was now rushing, silvery and usually calm and reserved...until something overflowed inside of her. Then she would burst, burst her banks. Now was one of those calm days; even though the night was windy and rainy, she was in a sense of....tranquility. It was strange.
Now she narrowed her eyes through the drizzling rain--she thought she could see a black shape, headed in her direction. The shape was definitely feline, but, curse the stupid rain, she couldn't smell a thing of it. The cat hadn't seemed to notice her, and so she stopped moving, sitting down in the wetness. She sighed and narrowed her bright azure optics to slits, waiting for the dark, dark shape to approach her. It was hard to see it, because it blended in with the dark night....though it seemed like a tom.

Shadow never really, deeply, thought about anything. He didn't try to explain to himself what had brought him out to the foggy, dismal day. If need be, he could always blame boredom. It was the one thing that ever foiled his "plans", ever stopped him from doing nothing forever. Not that he minded. As his gaze drifted around him, never really looking for anything, he spotted some movement, a large animal in the bushes. He was about to identify the type of creature by its gait, but just before he could the animals stopped. And sat. The movement was distinctly feline, and Shadow continued forward to see who the cat was.
OOC: sort of sucky post, sorry. What's she like? I have to find a mate for Shadow... and it would have to be a Clanner.

she's shy, but kind, and when angered she can burst easily. look in the bios; i adopted her from Sky. but I'm adding things on to her personality, little by little =O

OOC: Is she in need of a dark, dangerous tomcat?
