Here's a list of site rules to follow. Please don't disobey them. We want this to be a fun site! ;D
There is an extensive rules list, and a summary; you CANNOT just read the summary. There are many many important guidelines in these rules! .....
+ reputable roleplaying rules
- Please, keep your posts interesting. No 'Snowdust went to sleep. Then she woke up again.' Generally, a paragraph or two will suffice for most members. Of course, feel free to make your posts longer. The MINIMUM limit is four sentences. We WILL be enforcing this--please don't join the site if you cannot post at least three sentences without effort.
- When you have something important to say in your actual rp, put 'OOC:' [Out of Character] in front of it. For example;
((rping goes here))
OOC: Where should they go hunting?
- In a roleplaying board, DO NOT post anything except roleplaying and the occasional OOC sentence if you have to. There are other boards for chatting; please keep the roleplaying boards free of that.
- Keep your posts literate. If you can read this rule, then you can roleplay without chatspeak. More simpler terms--NO CHATSPEAK. Example, nothing like 'he11o i luv cats do u? lets rp o darn ctrn g2g bb!'
- No powerplaying (playing someone else's cat) or godmodding (making your cat perfect).
+ magnificent mating manners
- NO GRAPHIC BREEDING. There may be younger members on this site, and they really do NOT want to read that kind of stuff.
- When you want one of your cats to have kits, go to the 'Classified' board and look for a mate, or post a thread saying your cat needs a mate. Once you have selected one, have the cats fall in love in a couple threads, and after a WHILE, not immediately, have the she-cat go into labor. This should be, like I said, a long time after they meet. You should be posting in threads for a while that say, for example, 'The tabby she-cat padded over to the group of cats, wincing as the growing kits inside her swollen belly kicked'. You can't have her have the kits immediately! Wait about a week or so, maybe less.
- Kits cannot walk, talk, or even see the moment they are born, so don't roleplay them doing that until they've been alive a bit longer.
+ commendable chatting conduct
- Do NOT fight in the OOC boards. If you must, take it to PMs, not on the boards. It's not only annoying, but also fills the thread with unnecessary posts.
- Be polite and tactful to all members, especially staff. We appreciate nice, pleasant members.
- No offensive content, for the same reason as graphic breeding.
-if you see something offensive or against the rules, PLEASE report it to a staff member!
+ congenial character creation
- This is a Warriors roleplaying site. We do not roleplay dogs, people, horses, or even unicorns here- take all of that to another site.
- Before you start to roleplay, you must make a bio (short for biography) of your character. There is a simple form for you to fill out, in the 'Create a Cat' board. Once you're done, post it in 'Create a Cat'. Once an admin or moderator accepts your bio and moves it, feel free to start roleplaying!
-If a staff member tells you to change your bio or add something to it, please do. If you don't your bio will probably not be accepted.
- Also, a necessary part of your bio is the codeword, which is somewhere in this post. if you've read the rules, you'll find it. Your bio will not be accepted until it is in your bio.
- One member can have only two leader, deputy, medicine cat, or medicine cat apprentice.
+ capital cbox conversing
- No swearing, please. Let's keep the site clean.
- No spamming- it's pointless and it fills up the cbox with unnecessary talking.
- Do not advertise your site in the cbox. There is a board for advertising; post your insane advertising needs there.
- Be friendly and polite; we want a nice, jolly atmosphere here on COWC. Don't argue with other members; take that to PMs or IM.
+ other objects of obedience
-Chatspeak is only allowed in the Cbox, and only if it's legit!
-don't argue with the staff team.
-Members are required to read all announcements and Mass PMs and check their PMs at least once a week. AT LEAST.
-These rules can be updated at anytime, and members must check them every once in a while. Also check the other threads on the Site Information board.
-YOU MUST BE ACTIVE. Especially if you are a staff member or have a high position or plot position. There will be regular activity checks and if you're not active you will be --poof!-- deleted. No warnings in this case.
NOTE: Failure to comply with these rules may result in a warning, suspension, or banning--even deletion. We wouldn't want that, now would we? x3
