Her lithe, white shape padded slowly down the steeper hill as not to skid. She didn't want to end up spread-eagled in the small ravine. Mirrorpaw's sea-colored eyes glanced around for a hunting patrol. There was none, thankfully. Her excuse to get out here was to look for marigold, but she'd already found some and stashed it under a tree root to get back to later. She was really here to meet...him. Oakpaw. What they were doing was not right according to the warrior code, but they couldn't help themselves. As she reached the bottom of the ravine, she sat on a flat stone and wrapped her tabby tail around her white paws, waiting. There were rabbits scurrying about everywhere; Oakpaw could use hunting as a pretext for being out alone. She glanced around at him but couldn't see him. He had to be on his way.

Oakpaw walked through the grass towards the twin hills. He tried to focus on where he was going but his mind kept wandering to other thoughts. What if she couldnt get away from camp. I'd be making a fool of myself he thought nervously. His paw stepped forward and with his terrible luck it slipped on a patch of wet grass and he went tumbling down the hill. The rolling of his body made his head spin and when he finally reached the bottom his head had hit agaisnt the stone that Mirrowpaw was sitting on. "Hello" he muttered spitting out grass.

Mirrorpaw chuckled. Oakpaw, you need to stop tumbling like that. Someday you'll hurt yourself. She purred and padded quickly towards him, rubbing her muzzle along his flank. She ran her tail along his tabby [?] form as her eyes sparkled in happiness to finally see him, see him without any other cat watching. So...

"The grass was wet it is not my fault" He meowed as he stood up dizzily. He rubbed his muzzle gently agaisnt hers. He looked at her and purred happily, something he hadnt done in a while. Oakpaw looked to make sure no other cat was there. "Hmmm" was all he meowed.

Oakpaw scoffed. "I know that I was just...checking again" He meowed. The wind blew his fur forwards making him look like a deformed porcupine with short, soft quills. Oakpaw slumped his shoulders forward. "Stupid wind" he growled mumbling under his breath as he licked down his fur.

Mirrorpaw shook her head in amusement. Oakpaw... she murmured. She rolled her eyes and padded over to him, smoothing his fur out with her tail. There. Now everything's all better...and it will be for us one day. She stepped back and looked into his eyes meaningfully, hoping he knew what she meant.

"How can it be better for us Mirrorpaw. No one is ever going to change the warrior code" He meowed softly. He looked into her eyes a forced a soft smile. He looked at his paws. "If anyone ever found out about us they would probally seperate us....I cant talk to the other cats in our clan, the only one I can talk to is you" he whispered.

Mirrorpaw looked away from him. He was right. The question was, what did she love more: her duty to the Clan or Oakpaw? She shook her head--that was a question her brain couldn't answer...or was it just one it refused to answer? Again and again she shook her head, until finally she stopped. She forced herself to look at Oakpaw. Her lips trembled as she uttered the words: Oakpaw...I need to tell you something. She'd have to leave him someday, when she took over the duties of a full medicine cat. But not today. She hoped that he wouldn't be mad when she told him what was on her mind.

Oakpaw looked up at her occasionaly looking away from her gaze. "What is it?" he meowed softly knowing it would be good news. Nothing good ever happened to him. His mind was filled with doubts and though he tried to push them away they always persisted and drifted back into his thoughts.

Mirrorpaw stepped closer. Please don't get freaked out by this, Oakpaw...but... She moved her muzzle so that her nose was right next to his ear. I...I love you. She didn't dare step back to see his expression; instead she waited to see--or hear--what he would say.
OOC/please change your sig ^.^

Oakpaw sighed relieved that it wasnt something to worry about. He purred happily. "I love you to Mirrorpaw" he whispered. His eyes sparkled with happiness. Mirrorpaw was the only cat he had ever talked to and she was more than likely the only one he ever talk to.

Mirrorpaw's face broke out into a wide-spread grin. He loved her. He loved her! Her head spun with happiness, she rubbed her muzzle against his flank. Then she stepped back, confusion clouding her eyes. Their relationship was mature for their age...she was about eleven moons, him near the same age.

He knew they were young and most cats there age would not have this type of relationship. But were they most cats? Mirrorpaw was medicine cat apprentice and he didnt enjoy the childish games like other apprentices did. He licked her ear to reasure her.

Mirrorpaw's loud purr rumbled in her throat, and she stepped back, eyes shining. What do you want to do? she mewed, happiness apparent in her soft voice. She gazed at Oakpaw lovingly.
